12h00: Guided tour of the machines room by Guido Vanderhulst - BruxellesFabriques president and scientific expert for the restoration - followed by a drink

Bruxelles Fabriques, Brussels industrial and social heritage sentinel, has been awarded by the Grand Prix of UE Cultural Heritage/ Europa Nostra 2013 in "research" category for the study on the restoration carried out by Guido Vanderhulst

The restoration of those machines is an original socio-cultural project, gathering the machines restoration itself, the vocational training of unemployed people to complete the restoration and their involvement and the communication related to this project for the general public.

The project received the key support from the Baillet Latour Fund, Bruxelles-Capitale Region and

the Engineering Heritage Committee of Europa Nostra, et l'étroite collaboration de la Commune de Forest et du BRASS – Centre Culturel de Forest.
